Dubai, UAE – Renowned neurologist Dr Shweta Adatia has circulated a video on YouTube in which she has explained the scientific benefits of Shri Hanuman Chalisa. Dr Shweta Adatia has said that the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa is beneficial for the heart and mind. She said that Hanuman Chalisa is considered as ‘yogic breath’. It means that when we recite it our breathing takes place in a particular way.
1. While reciting some chaupais (lines) of Shri Hanuman Chalisa, the breath is inhaled (e.g. Jai Hanuman Gyan Guna Sagar), while reciting some chaupais, the breath is exhaled (e.g. Jai Kapis TihuLok Ujagar) the breath is held in some (e.g. RamdootAthulitBaldham) in some the breath is held and then goes out (e.g. Anjani Putra Pawan Sut Nama.)
2. According to Dr Shweta Adatia, this process affects the heart rate variability, which helps in keeping the heart in healthy. On the other hand, if the Hanuman Chalisa is recited correctly, it directly affects the ‘limbic system’ (a part of the brain).
3. Dr Shweta Adatia said that reciting Shri Hanuman Chalisa activates the nerves which help in many functions of the body such as digestion and stress management.
4. It has been seen from experiments that reading Shri Hanuman Chalisa has positive effects on both the heart and mind, said Dr Shweta Adatia.
