Mumbai University’s fake ‘Facebook page’ begins admission process for students !

Rising cyber crimes pose a major challenge to police and citizens !

Mumbai – In a shocking incident, it has been exposed that online admission process is been carried out from a fake ‘Facebook page’ of Mumbai University. On coming to know the University of Mumbai has lodged a complaint with the cyber police against it.  Mumbai’s anti-cyber crime squad has appealed to the citizens to be cautious about this.

The fake admission process of The University of Mumbai was started on the link https://www.facebook.com/share/1ALkntvz9o/’. After entering the name, mobile phone and e- mail address for admission, the website ‘https://www.markmonitor.com/online-com/’ was suddenly getting opened. Following a complaint from The University of Mumbai, the police have closed the website. The information about the admission process in The University of Mumbai will be posted on the official website’www.mu.ac.in’, the University of Mumbai said.
