Azamgrah (UP) – The activities of a gang converting Hindus to Christianity in Arusa village was exposed by the Police. More than 30 men and women had gathered in the house where Hindus were being converted. Police arrested the owner of the house, Gulabchand and his wife Bandeyi. (Please note that Christian converts do not change their Hindu name after the conversion as they continue to get access to the Hindu community and it becomes easy to convert more Hindus. – Editor) The people from the village claimed that outsiders too were involved in this entire conversion process.
A local named Happy Singh lodged a Police complaint regarding the conversion. The police immediately reached the house of the accusedand confiscated a Bible and some pamphlets.
The locals were allured with money and jobs to convert them to Christianity. They were also told to stop worshipping Hindu Gods.
Editorial PerspectiveDespite there being an Anti-conversion law in UP, Christians dare to convert Hindus. Strict implementation of the law is required to stop this. |
