Saffron flag from Hanuman temple burnt in Kalyan (Thane district)

Kalyan (Maharashtra) – Villagers had made saffron flags on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti at the Hanuman temple in Chinchavali village here. Villager Akash Kashivale went to the temple at 7.30 am to offer prayers. He found the door of the temple open. He saw that some of the saffron flags had been burnt inside and outside the temple. He also saw footprints in the temple. It is suspected that this act was done by an unknown person with the intention of creating religious rift. A complaint has been filed in the police station in this regard. The Police have registered a case against the unknown person.
