Sentence to be pronounced on February 18

New Delhi – The Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi has convicted former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. He will be sentenced on February 18. He was accused of killing two Sikhs in Saraswati Vihar during the riots. The riots broke out after the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

On November 1, 1984, Sardar Jaswant Singh and his son Tarundeep Singh were killed in Raj Nagar Part-1 in West Delhi. Sajjan Kumar was leading the rioting mob.
