Immediately repeal the Waqf Act; free Govt controlled temples

  • Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti’s unanimous demand at the Maha Kumbha Mela

  • Samiti represents 167 religious sects across India

Prayagraj (UP) – During a meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti held at the Maha Kumbha Mela, it was unanimously demanded that the Waqf Act be repealed immediately and all Hindu religious sites currently under Government control be freed immediately. It was also decided to maintain the Kendriya Samiti, led by the National President, Jagadguru Swami Avichal Devacharya Maharaj, active in the future. The Samiti will continue its work for the next four years. The meeting was attended by Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti’s General Secretary Swami Jitendranand Saraswati Maharaj, Joint General Secretary Radhe Radhe Baba, Treasurer Mahamandaleshwar Janardan Hariji Maharaj, as well as presidents, vice presidents, regional general secretaries, and members from across the country. The Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti represents 167 religious sects from all over India.

Providing further insights into the meeting, Jagadguru Swami Avichal Devacharya Maharaj said, “Certain political parties are conspiring to divide India based on language, region, and caste. The Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti will work towards uniting Hindus from North and South India. Saints from South India are also present at this conference. The unity of Saints across India is essential. While Akhadas reached Western India, the expected religious awareness about Dharma among South Indian Hindus has not yet developed. In North India, many Hindu temples were destroyed by the Mughals, leading to the unity of Hindus there. However, Hindu religious sites in South India remained secure, which resulted in a lack of unity among South Indian Hindus. Some are attempting to divide India into ‘North India’ and ‘South India.’ Therefore, the Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti will send Saints from North India to South India and vice versa to create awareness among Hindus.”

Demand to declare India a Hindu Rashtra

“All Saints unanimously demand that India be declared a Hindu Rashtra at the earliest. Before this can happen, action must be taken against those doing various forms of ‘Jihad’ aimed at destroying Indian culture. Threats such as ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Land Jihad’ must be countered. To raise awareness among Hindus about this issue, they should be made aware of their cultural heritage. The responsibility of this awareness lies with the Saints,” said H.H. Avichal Devacharya Maharaj.
