Ban on firecrackers and their online sale in Delhi ahead of #Diwali !

1. The Delhi Police have been assigned the task of strictly enforcing this ban and are required to submit daily reports to the DPCC.
2. The Delhi BJP has questioned the rationale behind the firecracker ban, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party Government of implementing it without any scientific basis.
3. The BJP further highlighted that the Delhi Government is yet to provide a scientific report proving that firecrackers burst on Diwali are the primary cause of city’s pollution.
Double Standards?@vinod_bansal, VHP spokesperson, questions the move:
“Firecrackers poisonous only during #Diwali, not when leaders are released from jail?”
“Is #pollution low now, outside of Diwali?”
