Demand to register cases against those responsible immediately
Hyderabad (Telangana) – There has been a wave of outrage after Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, exposed the serious incident of using ghee made from animal fat in the laddu prasad of Shri Tirupati Balaji Temple, a place of worship for millions of Hindu devotees spread across the globe. Mixing ghee made from animal fat in the offerings is not just adulteration but a deliberate attack on the religious sentiments of Hindus. This incident is a sign of betrayal of the Hindu faith.

When former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s father, Samuel Rajasekhara Reddy, was in power, the contract for making the laddu prasad at Shri Tirupati Balaji Temple was given to a Christian organisation, and Christians were appointed on the temple’s management committee. Christian missionaries used to encourage conversions in the temple area. Now, by mixing animal fat- based ghee in the prasad, a conspiracy has been hatched against Hindus.
Chetan Gadi, the State Coordinator of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), has demanded immediate registration of a case for hurting religious sentiments and immediate arrest of the culprits. Various pro-Hindu organisations came together and held protests in front of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam at Himayat Nagar and a protest march was taken out up to the Basheerbagh Circle.
Activists from various pro-Hindu organisations including HJS, Sanatan Sanstha, Rashtriya Shivaji Sena, Hindu Sanghatan Ekta Manch, Hanuman Chalisa Group, Sanatan Hindu Sangh, Global Hindu Human Rights Collective, Dalit Hindu Sena, BJP, Bajrang Sena, and Isha Foundation participated in the protest.
