Yavatmal, Maharashtra – In Dhanki, before the immersion of the Ganesh Idol from Shri Ram Bal Ganesh Mandal at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje Chowk, religious fanatics deliberately cut off the electricity supply and attacked a devotee, Yash Kubde, with sticks. They also vandalized the Ganesh idol by pelting stones at it. After hearing Kubde’s cries, other devotees quickly gathered. They took an aggressive stance, declaring that the idol would not be immersed until the attackers were arrested. Despite initial reassurances from the police, the devotees stood firm. Eventually, the police arrested nine fanatics and filed cases against a total of 70 people. The attackers were armed with sticks, sharp weapons, and swords, suggesting that this was a pre-planned assault.
