Sylhet (Bangladesh) – “We Bangladeshi Hindus cannot express our plight in words. We are facing various crises. In the past month alone, around 50,000 Bangladeshis have fled to India due to the fear of attacks by radical Muslims. Many devout Hindu leaders, as well as workers of the Awami League and the terrorist organisation Ansarullah Bangla Team are among them. This clearly indicates the incompetence of the India-Bangladesh border security”, said a young Hindu leader from Bangladesh speaking to a representative of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ about the distressing situation of Hindus in Bangladesh.
(The natural refuge for Hindu leaders who are fighting for ‘Hindutva’ in Bangladesh is India; however, it is unacceptable that Muslim leaders and terrorists who harbour hatred towards Hindus also find refuge in India. Who should be held responsible for this ? – Editor)
Key points raised by this leader are as follows.
1. My elder brother is a devout Hindu journalist, and he has been living in Guwahati, Assam for some years now to save his life. We cannot even meet him.
2. Ranjit Chandra Sarkar, a Hindu MP of the Awami League from North Sunamganj, has been receiving death threats and has long since fled Bangladesh.
3. Awami League MP Bahauddin Bahar from Comilla is also living in Kolkata. Last year, he made derogatory remarks about the Durga Puja festival, saying it was a celebration of alcohol.
4. Today, terrorists from Jamaat-e-Islami and Ansarullah Bangla Team are hiding in Guwahati, Kolkata, and Meghalaya in India.
5. Excuses are being found to dismiss senior Hindu officers in the Bangladesh Police force. Through such tactics, attempts are being made to render the Hindu community in Bangladesh helpless.
Bangladeshi Hindus are representatives of India
During the interview, this leader pleaded with the representative of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ – “Even though we are Bangladeshi Hindus, ultimately we represent India. We are with India. Conspiracies are being hatched against us. Please raise your voice for us; otherwise, this will become a major headache for India”.
