Amritsar – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided 14 Khalistani centres in Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar etc. Reportedly, the raids were conducted upon receiving important information through the ongoing investigation of last year’s attack on Indian Embassy in London. In this case, NIA had filed a charge sheet against Inderpal Singh Gaba, a British citizen of Afghan origin, on September 5. Gaba is accused of taking part in the anti-India protest outside the Indian Embassy in Britain on March 22 last year. He was detained in December 2023 after arriving from London via Pakistan. He was arrested on April 1. He had started the anti-India agitation in response to the ongoing action against Amritpal Singh and his organisation ‘Waris Punjab De’.
