Serious allegations of the parents of the dead woman doctor in Kolkata against the Police

Kolkata – The parents of the doctor have made serious allegations against the Police in connection with the rape and murder of a female doctor at the Radha Gobind Kar Hospital in Kolkata. The parents said that when our daughter’s body was handed over to us, a senior police officer tried to bribe us to suppress the case. We refused. The Police tried to close the case without conducting a thorough investigation.

The deceased doctor’s father said,

1. He was forced to take his daughter’s body to the crematorium on the night of the incident. It was said that her daughter had committed suicide without conducting any investigation.

2. Then we reached the hospital at 12:10 PM. We were kept outside the seminar hall for 3 hours to see the girl’s face. We were not allowed to see the dead body. Not only this, but the body had to wait at the police station till it was taken for post-mortem.

3. No one from the hospital administration spoke to us that day. We didn’t want to have a funeral; but we were pressured. We sat in the police station for an hour. Later when the body was handed over to us, a senior police officer tried to pay us to settle the case.

4. Later we were forcefully sent home. When I went home, there were 400 Policemen standing. Then we had no choice, we had to cremate the dead body; but who paid for the funeral on that day, we do not know till today.
