KSRTC officials ignored requests to repair the faulty headlights

Kalaburagi (Karnataka) – In a shocking incident, the driver of a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus drove nearly 90 kilometres on the Kalaburagi–Chincholi route using the light from a mobile phone’s flashlight. The bus conductor held the mobile phone in front to illuminate the road while the driver continued the journey using only that light.
The bus had been operating with faulty headlights for the past 15 days, yet KSRTC officials failed to ensure that they were repaired. The negligence of the transport authorities has drawn widespread criticism, with questions being raised over who would have been held responsible had an accident occurred. Citizens have urged the authorities to address the issue without delay.
