Mumbai – Mumbai Suburban District Deputy Collector Sandeep Nichit has appealed that if the National flags are found on the road or thrown around on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, they should be picked up and handed over to the Tehsil office or the District Administration office.
Committees have been formed in Mumbai’s suburban District at Andheri, Borivali, and Mulund to create awareness to stop using plastic and paper-made national flags. The District Administration has undertaken an awareness campaign to prevent the desecration of the National flag.
