Deadly weapons seized from the schoolbags of juvenile students

Nashik, Maharashtra – The Police have seized 7 choppers, 1 Curved blade (Koyta) and 1 Stick knife (gupti) from the schoolbags of class X students, between the age group of 15 to 17 years, at a reputed school. A student of class X was supposed to be coming to beat up a student, after finishing the last paper of geography. It is learnt that some students had procured these weapons to attack this boy as soon as he would arrive. There is also a hint of a love affair behind this scene.

On a tip off, the Crime Branch squad had laid a trap in Chintban area, which averted a gory incident. The Police have taken the students in custody. The boys had procured these weapons from Vadodara, Gujarat.

Otherwise, the parents will have to face the action

Nashik Police Commissioner, Sandip Karnik is counselling the students, however the minors’ criminal activities do not seem to reduce, he said. He has made an appeal to the parents as a warning. Now, if the parents do not watch their children they will have to face action.

Editorial Perspective

Current involvement of juvenile students in criminal activities compels to think whether our children are following the US where such cases occur frequently.
