New York (USA) – Vishva Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) has organised nationwide Rath-Yatra in the USA, starting from 25th March 2024 in Chicago. This Rath-Yatra will cover 851 temples in 48 States. Amitabh Mittal, General Secretary, VHPA and the organiser of Rath-Yatra said, “The chariot will carry Idols of Shriram, Sitamata, Lakshman, and Deity Hanuman. The chariot will carry even a special ‘prasad’ from the recently inaugurated Shriram Temple in Ayodhya and a Kalash of Pran Pratishtha Pujit Akshata. Rath-Yatra will also visit 150 temples in Canada.”
Tejal Shah of the Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council (HMEC) said, “The objective of this Rath Yatra is to raise awareness, educate, and empower Hindu dharma”.
“It is very important for us and especially for our future generation to stay united and strong in the campaign to raise awareness and spread Hindu dharma across the world,” Tejal added.
Rath-Yatra to conclude on Hanuman Jayanti
Amitabh Mittal, VHPA’s General Secretary in the USA stated that the Hindu community is going to organise such a large-scale event for the first time in the USA. It will be concluded on the day of Hanuman Jayanti, on 23rd April 2024. The Ratha-Yatra would cover not only all the major temples but also the smaller ones.
