Ramrajya was established by slaying Ravan, his brothers and their army and not by observing fasts

A dialogue from the recently released second teaser of the film ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar’

Mumbai – The second teaser of the film ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar’, which is releasing on 22nd March, has been released. In its first scene, M Gandhi says, “Ramrajya was established through sacrifices and observing fasts”. Savarkar, however, replies to him that “Ramrajya was not established by observing fasts but by slaying Ravan, his brothers and their army.”

A. M Gandhi : We should support Muslims to make them a part of the freedom fight.

B. Savarkar says while being dragged by a Muslim Police in Andaman jail, “What kind of a Muslim are you ? You are not a patriot. Be a Muslim like Bahadur Shah Zafar (the last Mughal king). For him, nation was always superior to the religion.”

C. In a scene where Savarkar and Gandhi meet, he says to Gandhi, “36% seats for 25% Muslims ? It means one Muslim vote is equal to 3 Hindu votes ?”

Gandhi says, “It is their right.”

Savarkar : Why ? Is it because they ruled us before these British ?

Gandhi : Are you not afraid of the minorities ?

Savarkar : Don’t you understand the anguish of the majority who suffered as slaves for 800 years ?

D: When Savarkar is accused of hating Gandhi, he says, “I don’t hate Gandhi; I hate non-violence.”
