Beef was hidden under the vegetables

Otur (Dist. Pune) – The Police have registered a case against Nasir Sheikh in Otur, Junnar taluk, for transporting beef and have arrested him. A tempo carrying 1,500 kg of beef has also been seized, informed Assistant Police Inspector L G Thate.
Bajrang Dal activists received confidential information that beef was being transported illegally. They brought this to the attention of the Otur Police. Accordingly, on 9th March, a tempo speeding towards Mumbai was stopped by Bajrang Dal activists and Otur Police and searched. During this time, it was found that approximately 1,500 kg of beef was hidden under the vegetables and was being taken to Mumbai for sale. A complaint has been filed by Rishikesh Shelar in this case.
