Kopargaon (Ahilyanagar) – Disturbing reports emerge from Rashtrasant Janardhan Swami Medical College, affiliated to Rashtrasant Janardan Swami Hospital, revealing that the Principal, along with others, coerced students into reciting namaz. The incident unfolded during a workshop allegedly conducted by an Islamic scholar from Kerala, with the participation of a Muslim teacher from the college.

The session took place in the college hall, but the college administration stated that they had not granted permission for the programme. (Considering the Principal’s presence at the event, this explanation by the college administration seems ridiculous ! – Editor). On the night of 26th February, the devout Hindus expressed their indignation and vehemently condemned the incident. The Sakal Hindu Samaj and other devout Hindu organisations visited the local Police station, urging swift action in response. Following a complaint filed by both, the college administration and the Sakal Hindu Samaj, a case has been registered against those involved.

This event is believed to have been organised on the occasion of Rashtrasant Janardhan Swami’s death anniversary. The individuals involved in this event justified their actions calling it an effort towards interfaith harmony. (In that case, prayers should also have been offered as per Hindu customs. Why was it not done ? – Editor).

Editorial Perspectives

  • When a school chooses to incorporate teachings of Bhagawadgeeta or Yoga, the pseudo- liberal community accuses of ‘saffronising ‘ the education. Please note their silence on this matter !
  • Hindus should call for the removal of this Principal for compromising the principles of secularism.
  • The unopposed participation of Hindu students in offering namaz, highlights the importance of imparting the education of Hindu Dharma !
