Case registered against BJP MLAs for protesting against the teacher who insulted Shriram

Incident at Mangalore (Karnataka)

Mangalore (Karnataka) – Hindu organisations as well as the BJP protested outside the school after a teacher insulted Shriram at St Gerosa English Primary School here. In this case, the Police have registered a case against BJP MLAs D Vedavyas Kamath and Bharath Shetty, as well as the head of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Sharan Pumpwell, and other Hindu activists on charges of spreading hatred, holding illegal meetings, hurting religious sentiments, threats etc.

Crime is not registered against those who insult Shriram – MLA Bharath Shetty

MLA Bharath Shetty has expressed his anger in this regard. He said that a case had been registered against me with bad intentions. First, a case was registered against Harish Panja and then against Vedavyas Kamath. A case is being registered against those who chant ‘Jai Shriram’; but no crime is registered against those who insult Ram. We are legislators. We will not take bail. Let’s deal with this matter.
