Haldwani (Uttarakhand) – Javed Siddiqui, brother of Samajwadi Party leader Mateen Siddiqui, has been arrested for inciting violence in Haldwani. The investigation revealed that Abdul Malik was the main mastermind of this violence. The madrasa that the administrative authorities went to demolish belonged to Abdul. Along with this, the names of some other leaders of the Samajwadi Party have also come up. One of them is Arshad Ayub. Zeeshan Parvez, a corporator from Banbhulpura, is also involved in the violence.
1. The curfew has been lifted in Haldwani; however, the curfew in Banbhulpura, where the violence occurred, is still in place.
2. The rioters are being identified with the help of CCTV. The area is being monitored through drones. A heavy Police force has been deployed to bring the situation under control.
3. It has been reported that riotous fanatical Muslims took to the streets with illegal weapons and killed many innocent people.
Two Hindus were among those killed
Two Hindus are among those killed in Haldwani violence. One of them is identified as Ajay while the other is Prakash Kumar. Both of them were shot dead. Prakash was killed and his body was thrown on the railway tracks. Ajay was shot when he went out of the house to buy medicine. Both of them are said here to have been shot by the Police, but as it was revealed that the Police did not fire, it is being said that these two have been killed in firing by fanatical Muslims.
Rioters are reported to be hiding in the forest
The rioters are said to be hiding in the forest after the Police launched a search for the rioters. Due to this, the forest department has started patrolling the forests. ‘All efforts will be made to protect the forest area and prevent the infiltration of suspects’, Goula Chandan Adhikari, an officer of the forest department, said.
