‘Burn the law books’ : Maulana Arshad Madani

  • Maulana Arshad Madani, President of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, spews venom
  • If the ‘Places of Worship Act’of 1991 is not followed, there will be riots !
Maulana Arshad Madani

New Delhi – Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani has defied the Constitution. He called for burning of the law books. He said, ‘If this continues, no religion will get a fair verdict. We had objected to the removal of Babri Masjid from the Place of Worship Act of 1991. Where there is Babri Masjid, there is no Shriram Janmabhoomi’. On the verdict of Babri Masjid, he said that this can happen in case of any mosque.

1. Maulana Madani further said that many such cases are coming to light after Babri. At present the speed with which such cases are coming up and the way the Courts are showing laxity and flexibility in the law, the intention of the people (Hindus) to gain control over the mosques is succeeding. (Please note Madani’s hatred towards law, who objected to the Court verdicts ! – Editor)

2. On the verdict regarding Hindus worshipping in Gyanvapi, he said that if the Muslims were of the opinion that all the temples should be demolished, then there would have been nothing left of temples and mosques. The Court took a hasty decision. The Muslim party was not given enough time to present their case.

3. On the case of Babri, he said that a mosque was not built after demolishing a temple. The job of the Court is not to judge on faith, but to judge by reason. A rift is being created between Hindus and Muslims.

4. Disputes can be stopped with the help of the 1991 Act. If this law is not put into practice honestly, riots will break out in the country.

Editorial Perspective

This is Maulana Madani’s convenient hypocrisy ! On one hand, he calls for burning of the law books, while on the other, he instigates that ‘riots will start’by showing fear of the law which is in favour of Muslims. Police need to arrest such people !
