Shyam Manav – Founder of the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti’ (ABANS)
Mumbai – ‘Law is equal for all. So all are expected to be dealt with accordingly; but unfortunately it doesn’t happen. The Government led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is not taking action against elites and Brahmin Babas. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Maharaj of Bageshwar Dham is a Brahmin by birth, so why no action is being taken against him ?’ stated Shyam Manav, the Founder of Akhil Bharatiya Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti.
Shyam Manav further said –
1.In 2005, when the Anti-Superstition and Black Magic Bill was being drafted, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment had angrily explained to me the ill-effects of the draft law.
2.This law was passed in the year 2005. At that time he told me, ‘Under this law you will take action against our tribal Babas. Action will also be taken against the poor and dalits; but action will not be taken against elites and Brahmin Baba. The Police or the Government, no one will be able to take action.’
3.Then I pointed out to him that the law is same for all. I had assured him that, ‘Action will be taken against all, whether they are elite or born in upper caste’. (What else can a Brahmin- hater say ? – Editor)
