Devotees throng for darshan of Shri Ram Lal

Ayodhya, 24 th January – Devotees throng to get a Darshan of Shriramlalla on the second day after the Pranaprathistha. On the first day after the inauguration, i.e. on the morning of 23rd January, the temple was opened for Darshan to the devotees. After which 5 lakh devotees visited Shriramlalla on a single day. At this time there was a huge commotion in the temple. Due to this Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself came to the location and instructed the officials to smoothen the arrangements of the Darshan. After this, the arrangement for Darshan went ahead smoothly and in a controlled manner. The Police have currently kept a tight security there. To avoid traffic congestion, entry to Ayodhya was closed to all vehicles, especially four-wheelers, with a few exceptions. Along with this, all Government buses coming from Lucknow to Ayodhya were stopped at Lucknow.

The Government changes the timings of the Darshan to the next day

Noting the surge in people the Government has changed the timings of the Darshan to another day. The temple will now be open for a Darshan to devotees from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Government has appealed to dignitaries to avoid visiting Ayodhya for a Darshan for the next 10 days.

Controlling the crowd of devotees coming to see Shriramlalla

More than 5 lakh devotees rushed to visit the temple, but the administration and Police failed to control the crowd. Noting the rush Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself rushed to the location and instructed the temple officials to smoothen the Darshan arrangements. After this, the Darshan went ahead in a disciplined and controlled manner from the morning of 24th January. There was no hurry or tension. Devotees were being let into the temple in queues. State Home Secretary Sanjay Prasad and Director-General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar were keeping an eye on this arrangement. In addition, the Chief Minister himself was regularly taking updates on the situation. 8,000 Policemen have been deployed at the site.
