The boy died due to a lack of treatment because the President refused to use the Aerial Ambulance provided by India !
Male (Maldives) – An innocent 14-year-old Maldivian boy died due to the tensions between Maldives and India. Maldivian President Mohammed Muizzu is to be held responsible for this. The child had a brain tumour. When he suffered a stroke he needed to be airlifted urgently from his village to the capital Male for medical treatment. To do this they needed an aerial ambulance. But President Muizzu did not allow the sick boy to be airlifted and hence as a consequence the boy died. The aerial ambulance was given by India and that is why the President refused to use it. Due to his anti-India stance, his citizen died. While the reactions of the locals are not yet known, but Maldivian MP Michael Naseem said that the citizens of Maldives should not have to suffer because of the President’s enmity with India.
The boy’s family said that they contacted Island Aviation as soon as the boy got his first stroke. But they did not respond immediately and the child finally reached Male after 16 hours.
The facility could not be provided due to a fault in the plane ! – The administration’s claim
Reacting to the allegation the concerned establishment said that they had reacted immediately and initiated the process to transport the patient to Male as soon as they received the emergency request. They were unable to provide the facility due to some technical problem with the aircraft at the last minute.
