Hindus had organised a procession ahead of the consecration ceremony of Shriram

Shajapur – Ahead of the consecration ceremony of Shriram in Ayodhya, the Hindu community here has been organising a daily procession in the evening. On 8th January too, 30 to 40 Hindus took out the procession in the evening in Shajapur District of Madhya Pradesh. As the procession passed in front of Akhand Ashram, a Muslim mob blocked the procession and hurled stones at it with verbal abuse. Six people from the Hindu community were seriously injured in this incident. Following the incident, activists of the Hindu organisations lodged a Police complaint and demanded action against the perpetrators. The Police have registered a case against 44 Muslims in this case.
The complaint stated that some Muslims also attacked the Hindus with swords. A man identified as Manzur Khan wielded a sword against the Hindus participating in the procession. As a result, Lalit Kushwaha sustained a head injury and began to bleed. Others including Kunal Devatwal, Dholi Sonu Malviya, Prashant Kushwaha, Chetan Prajapati and Nikhil Prajapati suffered injuries due to stone pelting. The Police have informed that 8 individuals have been arrested in connection with this case and efforts to apprehend others are ongoing.
