The idol of Ram Lalla sculpted by a famous sculptor of Karnataka Mr Arun Yogiraj will be installed in the temple – Union Minister Pralhad Joshi

Mysuru/Ayodhya – The idol of Ram Lalla has been finalised for Shriram temple in Ayodhya. It has been sculpted by Mr Arun Yogiraj, a famous sculptor from Karnataka. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and former Karnataka Chief Minister Yediyurappa made the announcement on the social media portal ‘X’. However, an official announcement about this will be made on 17 th January by Shriram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.

1.Union Minister Pralhad Joshi posted on ‘X’, “Where there is Shriram, there is Hanuman! Karnataka is the land of Hanuman. There is no doubt that this is an important service for Ram Lalla from the land of Hanuman, Karnataka.”

2.Former Chief Minister of Karnataka Yediyurappa congratulated Yogiraj and acknowledged that it was a proud moment for the State.

3.Sculptor Arun Yogiraj said, “I have not received any official information yet. I am happy that I am among the sculptors who have been selected for this work. The idol should be such that the Divine Child form of the Deity can be seen. When people look at the idol, they feel the divinity. A few months ago, I started work by imagining Shriram’s childlike face and divinity.” Mr Arun Yogiraj has also sculpted the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose installed at India Gate in Delhi.

A statement from Champat Rai of Shriram Janmabhoomi Trust

Champat Rai of Shriram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust said on 2 nd January that the temple committee will finalise the idol to be coronated. The final information about this will be given to the devotees on 17 th January.

Details of the Ramlalla Idol

A total of 3 idols of Ram Lalla have been sculpted for the sanctum sanctorum of Shriram temple in Ayodhya. The height of all three idols is 51 inches each. All the three idols depict Ram Lalla as a 5-year-old child sitting on a lotus chair. The height of the idol with the lotus chair is estimated to be 8 feet.
