108 illegal madarasa on Nepal border received funding of Rs 150 crore from Gulf countries

Investigation is going on regarding the use of money

Laxmanpuri (UP) – Information about the large number of illegal madarasas along the India-Nepal border had come to light earlier. After this, the Uttar Pradesh government appointed a special investigation team under the leadership of Additional Director General of Police Mohit Aggarwal. Investigation of Uttar Pradesh madarasas has revealed funding of Rs 150 crore was received by 108 madarasas from Gulf countries.

There are a total of 25,000 madarasas under the investigation team. In the first stage of investigation, illegal madarsas are being investigated. Madarasas in Deoband and some other areas are also being explored beyond the Nepal border. In addition to the foreign funding, the Police are also monitoring a Delhi-based NGO. Madarasas have received Rs 20 crore from this organisation in the last 3 years. How did this NGO receive the funding, how are the madarsas spending this money, etc. is being investigated.

There is also a possibility that anti-national activities are being done with the money received from abroad in the name of education. In October 2022, the Uttar Pradesh Government started an investigation in this regard after ‘Opindia’, a pro-Hindu news website, conducted a direct investigation on the India-Nepal border and revealed the nature of illegal madarasas. At that time, some MPs from Nepal also confirmed that illegal activities were being carried out in the border areas of the two countries.

• It has come to light several times before that madarasas are terror breeding grounds. Since these madarasas are illegal, strict action should be taken against them by banning them !
• According to the internationally renowned Islamic scholar Arif Ajakia, the origin of Jihad in India is its madarasas and hence, these should be permanently banned. Hindus think that the Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh should take action in this regard and set an example for all States.
