Nagpur, Maharashtra – Acting on a tip-off that silver was being smuggled in the Nagpur-bound Maharashtra Express, RPF inspected the train at Itwari railway station and seized 41.23 kg. of silver. It is estimated to be priced at Rs 9 lakh. The Police have arrested two accused in this case.
The Nagpur Section of the RPF is conducting a special drive because of the festival season and also due to the Assembly elections in 5 States. Every Railway train and traveller is under scrutiny. Any suspicious activity is being questioned immediately. The above-mentioned action was carried out during this drive.
