Supreme Court sends notice to all States

New Delhi – The National Federation of Indian Women, the women’s wing of the Communist Party of India (CPI), has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. It was alleged that Muslims were being attacked by cow-protectors. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal appeared on behalf of this wing. At this time, Sibal told the Supreme Court that ‘Muslims transporting beef and cattle are beaten up by cow-protectors. The Supreme Court has sent a notice to all the States. The Court had sent a notice earlier too. It has also instructed States to take action against hate crimes.
