Pakistan Cricket Board files a complaint against India to the International Cricket Council over the chanting of ‘Jai Shriram’

Danish Kaneria, a Hindu ex-player of Pakistan, criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Cricket World Cup is underway in India. In the match between India and Pakistan on 14th October, India defeated Pakistan. During this match, the audience chanted ‘Jai Shriram’. Chanting was also done in front of Pakistan player Mohammad Rizwan. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has complained to the International Cricket Council about this.

They have also complained about the delay in getting visas for Pakistani journalists. Danish Kaneria, a Hindu ex-cricket player of Pakistan, has criticised the PCB due to these complaints. He tweeted on social media, ‘Who asked Pakistani journalist Zainab Abbas to comment against India and Hindus ? Who forced Mickey Arthur, the guide of the Pakistan Cricket Team, to say that the International Cricket Council thinks this tournament belongs to the Board of Control for Cricket in India ? Who asked Mohammad Rizwan to offer Namaz on the ground ? Therefore, one should stop finding faults in others’.

Criticising the PCB, Danish Kaneria further said that I have given my blood for Pakistan. Therefore, I have no problem with Pakistan and its citizens. My complaint is only against the injustice done to me. I object to the arrogance and duplicity of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
