No refreshments were provided despite repeated calls

Prayagraj (UP) – Hon’ble Justice Dr Gautam Chowdhary, of the Allahabad High Court faced an inconvenience during his train journey, due to the lax management of the Railways. Therefore, the High Court Registrar has sought an explanation from the concerned officials. The Justice had travelled from New Delhi to Prayagraj by Purushottam Express on 8th July 2023.
According to the letter by the High Court Registrar, the train was delayed by 3 hours that day. It has been alleged in this notice that even after repeated enquiry by the Judge, not a single Railway official gave a satisfactory answer. Also, not a single Policeman was present in the train coach, and no pantry car workers attended to Justice Gautam Chowdhary nor provided refreshments despite repeated calls.
The High Court Registrar has also directed high-ranking Railway officials to submit to the Court a copy of the explanation given by Railway Police and pantry car staff.
