Prime Minister Narendra Modi conferred with France’s highest honour

Modi becomes the first Indian Prime Minister to get this honour !

Paris (France) – The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a two-day visit to France. On the night of 13th July, Prime Minister Modi was awarded France’s highest honour ‘The Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour’ at the palace of French President Emmanuel Macron. Narendra Modi has become the first Indian Prime Minister to receive this honour.

Prime Minister Modi addressed all Indians at the ‘La Seine Musical’ in Paris. He said that coming to France feels like coming home. The people of India create little pockets of India wherever they go. Hence, India has a special role in the world system. India’s experience and efforts are helping the world to face every challenge. India is working towards its development goals in the next 25 years. Today every international organisation is saying that India is moving forward.

Financial transactions can be done through ‘UPI’ (online) in France as well !

India and France have signed an agreement to use the ‘UPI’ (Online Financial Transaction System) in France. Prime Minister Modi said that due to this agreement, the people in France will now be able to use ‘UPI’. This will provide a large market for innovation in India. In addition, this year, India has signed an agreement with Singapore’s Pay Now to use UPI. Efforts are now underway to launch international UPI services in the US, European countries and West Asia.
