Mumbai – A shocking incident has come to light wherein posters supporting ‘Popular Front of India’ (PFI), a banned terrorist organisation, have been put up on some houses in the New Panvel area of Raigad District. ‘PFI Zindabad’ slogan is written on these posters. It is not clear who put up the posters. A case has been registered against unknown persons in Khandeshwar Police station in this matte under section 153 of IPC for creating animosity between two communities. This incident came to light on 24th June. The number ‘786’, which is considered sacred in Islam, is also written on these posters. The Police said that along with the posters, firecrackers were also placed on the door. No one has been arrested in this case yet and the Police are searching for the culprits. The Union Government banned the ‘Popular Front of India’ in 2022 for its involvement in terrorist activities around the world; however, this incident proves that the members of this organisation are still active in India.
