Attempts to promote terrorist activities through madarasas

Srinagar (J&K) – The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir raided 8 places including the house of Maulana Sarjan Barkati. The action was taken in connection with terror funding case where in more than Rs 1.5 crore were collected through crowd funding & suspected terror sources. Barkati tried to extend terrorism by sheltering under madarasa. Barkati was accused of mobilising people for anti-National agitation in the year 2016. He was also arrested then.
