More than 1 lakh cases of Love Jihad in Maharashtra : Mangal Prabhat Lodha

Assures to prevent such cases in future !

Mumbai (Maharashtra) – We work for women’s protection, but marches have been taken out in this State against Love Jihad in which more than 50,000 people had joined. More than one lakh incidents of Love Jihad have been reported in Maharashtra, but there would be no repeat of Shraddha Walkar-like murder case, assured Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of Woman and Child Development (Maharashtra) during a debate in the State Assembly session held in the background of ‘International Women’s Day’.

Mangal Lodha said further that people are agonised due to the incidents of Love Jihad. The Government has set up a Committee to prevent atrocities against women in interfaith marriages, through which the women who have lost contact with their families, would be reunited with their families.
