Ranchi (Jharkhand) – Tension has spread in Apar Bazar due to unknown miscreants vandalising the Shivalinga in the Shiva temple in Rangarej lane. People have shut their shops out of fear. Devout Hindu organisations demonstrated and demanded the arrest of the culprits as early as possible. Police are investigating the incident.
Local citizens allege that the vandalising took place due to instructions by the Maulavi of madarasa situated near the temple. Such incidents had taken place earlier also.
