Disparaging remarks against PM Modi’s mother

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – Afzal Lakhani, convener of the Department of Information Technology was put in jail for having passed insulting comments against Prime Minister Modi’s late mother. Now a new case has come to light in his regard, that he had opened an account on Facebook in the Hindu name ‘Jigar Thakkar’ in which he had been criticising Hindu Dharma, Brahmins, and RSS. A worker of the Hindu Sena had filed a complaint in Police Station in Jamnagar against Afzal, and thereafter he was arrested. (It means if the complaint was not registered in the Police Station then the crime would not be registered ? – Editor)

Afzal as ‘Jigar Tahkkar’ has published statements such as ‘RSS is the only terrorist organisation in India’, ‘Nathuram Godse is the first terrorist in India’, ‘Brahmin Community is acting against Muslims, Dalits, Rajputs.

Editorial viewpoint

Nowadays religious fanatics appear to be assuming Hindu names to spread derogatory statements against Hindu Dharma. By doing this they are conspiring to divide Hindus and making an attempt to misguide the Hindu population. In the cases of ‘Love jihad’ also they are alluring, cheating Hindu young girls assuming Hindu names. They perform anti-national, anti-Hindu activities in the name of Hindus. This appears to be a serious matter and conspiracy; hence, the Government should intervene now by taking some stringent steps to curb all these malpractices of religious fanatics.
