These leaders have been arrested after PFI was banned. The NIA has sought more time to interrogate these leaders.

The NIA further told the Court that terrorist organisations like Islamic State and Al Qaeda are using terrorist organisations in India to carry out terror activities where they cannot operate on their own. PFI leaders were in touch with leaders of Jihadi terrorist organisations. So it is necessary to investigate them thoroughly. Important evidence has been obtained regarding the anti-national activities of PFI. The investigation also revealed that PFI leaders used social media to induct youths into terrorist activities.
