Serious claim by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has levelled serious allegations that the drug business is growing in Kerala and the State is rapidly moving towards becoming the ‘Drugs Capital’ replacing Punjab. He was speaking at a book launch event.
Khan further said,
1. Lottery and liquor are the two main sources of revenue for these South Indian states. This is a shame for Kerala which is 100% literate.
2. While other States are trying to ban liquor, the Kerala Government is involved in promoting it.
3. Only poor people buy lottery tickets. Kerala Government is looting them. The Government is driving people towards becoming alcoholics.
