Hamirpur (UP) – A local Muslim named Zakir, with the help of his two Muslim accomplices, abducted a 20-year-old Hindu girl, held her captive for six months and raped her, forcing her to convert to Islam. The incident of love jihad came to light only after the victim girl escaped from Zakir’s captivity and reached the Police Station.

A Hindu girl from Rath tehsil in Hamipur District of Uttar Pradesh had suddenly gone missing from her house six months ago. Zakir and two of his accomplices abducted her, knocking her unconscious. She was locked up in a room at Gurugram for 6 months. During these six months, Zakir raped her several times and forced her to convert to Islam. When she resisted, Zakir reportedly beat her up and also threatened to kill her. The victim managed to free herself from Zakir’s captivity one day, TV9 reported. The victim’s family lodged a complaint with the Majhgawan Police. Further investigation will be carried out after the medical examination of the victim girl is completed, said Pandhari Saroj, in-charge of Police Station.
