Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Shri. Jitendra Kanti Guha was tied to a tree and beaten up by religious fanatics for not attending the Iftar party on 30th April at Gauchia Community Centre organised by Haidgaon Awami League Union in Patia, a sub-District of Chattogram. Shri. Guha was formerly the local President of the Awami League party. He was beaten up by local Government officials’ supporters.
‘Voice of Bangladesh Hindu 71’ reported the incident on its Twitter handle and posted a photograph of Shri. Guha tied to a tree. It said, Jitendra Kanti Guha, a Hindu leader from Chittagong, was beaten up by local Awami League leader Mohammad Jasim for not participating in the Iftar party.
