Guwahati (Assam) – Uniform Civil Code (UCC) should be implemented in the country otherwise Muslim men will marry repeatedly and their wives will be deprived of their basic rights. No Muslim woman wants her husband to marry 3 more other women. When the country is celebrating the 75th year of Independence, to make the Muslim women lead an honourable life, UCC must be implemented. That will bring a change in their lives, stated Assam’s CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
