Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma asks Police to create a secure atmosphere in the State so that no personal security is required

Congratulations to Sarma who has such a conviction in the present time, however, it is a shame for all party rulers that not only in Assam but also in the entire nation in the last 74 years, such an atmosphere has not been created.

Dibrugarh (Assam) – The whole world has changed. VIPs no longer like security. If I could visit a place in the District without security and interact with people or walk around freely, I would feel good. On the contrary, if one is surrounded by commandos, it will mean that law and order in the District is not good. In the next 2-3 years, the atmosphere in the State should be so secure that no one would want personal security in Assam, said Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated it while inaugurating the second conference of Superintendents of Police of all Districts held at Oil India’s headquarters at Duliajan in Dibrugarh. The conference lasted for 18 hours and ended at 4 a.m.

Chief Minister Sarma said that if law and order prevail in the State, what is the need to appoint a personal security officer (PSO police standing officer)? A person with PSO indicates the failure of the Police. Make sure that the VIP or any criminal who are a threat to others are not able to enter your District. Don’t give PSO, said Sarma to the Police.
