Gurugram (Haryana) – People of all religions pray in their fixed places of worship, such as Temples, Gurdwaras, Mosques and Churches. Prayers are allowed in public places during festivals; but showing strength under the garb of prayers, which hurts any other community and inflames their sentiments, is not right, said Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar in the State Assembly. Khattar was replying to the question raised during the Zero Hour in the Assembly. Aftab Ahmed, a Congress MLA from Nuh, had raised a question about the opposition by Hindus during the last few months to the offering of Namaz in public places in Gurugram. Earlier, Khattar had said that he would not tolerate open prayers.

CM Khattar further said, he was happy that some people had agreed to offer Friday Namaz at a fixed place. We should not spoil the amicable relationship by giving religious colour to the prayers in public places.
