Ambajogai (Maharashtra) – After Parli Vaijanath temple, now Shree Yogeshwari temple gets threat of detonation with RDX through a letter received by the Deval Committee on the night of 27th November. It is written in the letter, “You are a trustee of a large temple. Till now, your temple has received a large amount of money in terms of donations. I am a notorious criminal and drug smuggler. I have a requirement of 50 lakh rupees for personal and important work. As soon as you receive the letter, send the amount to the said address; otherwise, I will detonate Yogeshwari temple with RDX.” Police informed that such letters have been sent to many temples.
As soon as the letter was received, Adv Sharad Lomate, Secretary of the Deval Committee, had submitted a complaint to the Police. On the receipt of the complaint, the Police have inspected the temple and provided some instructions related to security.
Two persons from Nanded are under custody
A team of Police went to Nanded and took two suspects under custody. One of them is an Insurance agent, whereas another one is a building constructor. During interrogation, the two suspects told to anti-terror squad that someone had purposefully played mischief. Somebody had written the letter by using their names as they had an important date in the Court. (Why is the mischief done only with Hindu Temples ? Police must investigate the matter thoroughly, capture the real culprits and bring them to justice. – Editor)
