New Delhi – The Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) arrested 5 Tihar Jail officials in a Rs. 200 crore extortion case. Of the arrested officials, 2 are Jail Superintendents, 2 are Deputy Jail Superintendents, and 1 is Assistant Jail Superintendent.

Jailed inmate Sukesh Chandrashekhar while in the jail extorted Rs. 200 crores from Aditi Singh, wife of industrialist Shivinder Singh. The aforementioned jail officials assisted him in extortion so they were arrested.
