Jaipur (Rajasthan) – Two Army Generals have said that the farmers’ agitation has been affecting even the Indian Army; therefore, anything can happen. Today, you are in power and doing anything due to your ego, but you don’t know what can be its repercussions, stated Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik while addressing a conference of Jats.

Satya Pal Malik said further that the farmers’ children had to pay the price of the mistakes committed by the Government at the time of the Kargil war. After the Kargil war, 20-year-old children of farmers climbed those mountains. I feel that the enemy could enter Kargil only due to the Government’s fault. Such injustice is happening only with the farmers. People are giving their reactions on this issue, but I fear that one day, the farmers should not react strongly. The farmers have not yet taken a stone in their hands.
Satya Pal Malik said that he had met Prime Minister Modi in connection with the farmers’ agitations. Malik said that he was very much hurt and angry. He met PM Modi and told him that he was wrongly assessing the problem. Sikhs or Jats cannot be defeated. The PM thinks that the farmers would easily go away, but that would not happen. Their demands should be accepted.
Malik said that one or two persons in the Government have become so blind with power that they were not able to see the ground. It is said in rural areas that even Ravan was an egoist. One day they (rulers) would realise that they are wrong. I think that day will come soon.

Malik also gave examples from history where Sikhs had done something out of anger. He said that the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi took action against the Khalistanis in the Golden Temple; therefore, Sikhs were hurt and Indira Gandhi had to pay its price in terms of her life. Even the Army Chief General Arunkumar Vaidya was assassinated after his retirement. (In the pre-independence era), General Dyer responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, was also killed in London.
