BJP and the Hindus protested the ad campaign and warned to boycott them. After that, the ad was taken off. Fabindia insulted the Diwali festival by trying to call it Jashn-e-riwaz. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha National President and BJP MP Tejasvi Surya objected saying Deepavali is not Jashn-e-riwaz and such organisations must face economic costs for such deliberate misadventures.
