Howrah (Bengal) – A BJP worker in West Bengal’s Howrah District has complained to the Police that local leaders and activists of the Trinamool Congress gang-raped his mute wife. The TMC said it supports the victim’s family and demanded punishment for the culprits. (It is not enough to just support such a demand, but they should take action against the rapists in their party ! – Editor) Police have since registered a case and arrested two of the five accused. The remaining three are being searched. The BJP worker and his eldest son were not at home at the time of the rape. The victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital and has been given Police protection. Trinamool Congress MLA Sukant Kumar Paul and some party leaders visited the victim at the hospital.
